EOD specialists of German Army inspect new attachments for Mini MineWolf
As a response to operational requirements MineWolf Systems has developed a range of new attachments to be fitted to any of the MineWolf machines.
Apart from the tiller and flail attachments, the following applications can now be added to the MineWolf toolbox:
- Fork lift: load and unload other attachments and equipment from a trailer or a truck
- Bucket: to be used as a standard front end loader
- Sifter bucket: remove and transport items of ordnance
- Dozer blade: grade areas of land as well as clear the ground of snow or other obstacles
All attachments are linked to the base vehicle via a quick release plate which allows exchanging the attachments in a very short time.
In order to comply with operational requirements these attachments were presented to representatives of the German Army on July 8th at the German Army’s EOD Center.
The Mini MineWolf was first shown with the tiller attached and then went through a series of scenarios assembling and disassembling various attachments. The machine fulfilled tasks encountered regularly in conflict scenarios such as
- Removal of heavy obstacles (e.g. burnt out vehicles)
- Removal of explosives and ammunition
- Grading of roads
The solutions stirred interest not only because of the added functionalities but also due to the enhanced safety of soldiers operating the equipment from a distance. More solutions are currently under development to further enhance the range of MineWolf products.
