Two Mini MineWolfs Shipped to ArmorGroup in Sudan

UK-based ArmorGroup acquired 2 Mini MineWolfs for mechanical demining projects in Southern Sudan. The first unit was shipped via sea freight; the second unit was airlifted from France to Sudan during Sept. 2008.

ArmorGroup Mine Action has been employed to supply the UNOPS with the following humanitarian demining capabilities in South Sudan: 3 Integrated Mine Clearance units each consisting of a Mechanical element, Manual Clearance Team and a Mine Detection Dog Team plus 4 Route and Survey Teams using mine protected vehicles and management capacity.

ArmorGroup's Sudan headquarters is based in Juba, but the teams operate all over Southern Sudan, with a sub-office in Wau. The Teams started operations on the 1st of October 2008 and will be operational until June 30th 2009. ArmorGroup is tasked by the Southern Regional Mine Action Office.
