Mini MineWolf Undergoes Intensive Testing by the German Army
05.10.07
The Germany Army, with technical support from the Canadian Centre for Mine Action Technologies (CCMAT), conducted a 4 week trial during September 2007 to determine the effectiveness of the Mini MineWolf using both tiller and flail attachments against simulated AP (Anti-Personnel) mines, as well as survivability against live AT mines.

Mini MineWolf withstands DM 11 + TM 57 mine stack : only 2 chains damaged
The simulated AP Mines or “WORM” (Wirelessly Operated Reproduction Mine) are able to detect and report damage inflicted by the machine to a remote computer via a wireless link.
The trial, held at the Germany Army weapons testing site in Meppen, follows formal guidelines set down by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) for the testing and evaluation of demining machines (CEN Workshop Agreement 15044).
The purpose of the trial was to determine the capability of the Mini MineWolf (8.1 tons) to clear (i.e. detonate or destroy) mines at different depths in different types of soil: gravel, sand and topsoil.
The results of the trial have been excellent, with the Mini MineWolf achieving impressive results close to 100% with both flail and tiller attachments.
The Mini MineWolf is a smaller version of the MineWolf (26 tons) which also achieved excellent results with both tiller and flail during earlier German Army trials.
The trial verified the Mini MineWolf’s effectiveness against AP mines, as well as its ability to survive occasional AT mine blasts.
A full report will be published by the German Army.
