MineWolf takes over mineclearance component business from AHWI Maschinenbau GmbH

Until recently MineWolf Systems has been living a close supply and engineering partnership with Southern-Germany based AHWI Maschinenbau GmbH.

The companies came to an agreement under which all engineering and manufacturing activities that have previously been performed by AHWI Maschinenbau GmbH will gradually migrate to MineWolf Systems’ German production and engineering center in Stockach.

While AHWI intends to focus its future activities on the forestry and recultivation sectors, MineWolf Systems is convinced that the integration will allow the company to better leverage internal know-how transfer from field to factory, along with transaction cost savings and quality management improvements along the supply chain.

“While it was advantageous to draw on AHWI’s vast experience from the forestry industry in the early prototyping days of our business, we have learned that synergies are limited”, MineWolf Systems’ Managing Director Tobias Schmidt commented the acquisition. “We believe we can create better value for our customers by integrating these activities under one roof at our Stockach site.”

MineWolf Systems has established and consequently grown its own production and engineering center in Stockach, Germany since late 2007.
